ECF Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the Martial Arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors. Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this Martial Art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students.

Kru James Armlin

Kru James Armlin is the head Muay Thai Instructor at East Coast Fighter and is a certified Muay Thai Instructor in the Thai Boxing Association under Ajarn Chai Sirisute. Kru Armlin has trained and studied Muay Thai extensively in Thailand. Kru Armlin is a former Muay Thai Fighter and was a Close Combat and Hand-to-Hand Combat Instructor in the U.S. Marines. Kru Armlin is also a Law Enforcement Officer with over 13 years experience

Professor Paulo Mushu

The head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Professor at East Coast Fighter is BJJ black belt 2nd degree, Professor Paulinho ”Mushu” Elsimaani. He began his training at the early age of 16 under Professor Rillion Gracie. Soon after he moved to Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil and began training with one of Grand Master Carlson Gracie’s Black Belts Fernado Pinduka. After many years of training and competing he was awarded his Brown belt. "Mushu" relocated to New York with his family and continued his training with Roni Cardoso, an Alliance Black Belt under Fabio Gurgel. Two years later Paulinho Became a Certified Black Belt under the legendary Jacaré Cavalcanti. Paulinho is also the Vice President of the North Carolina Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation.
